Congress Member Mario Diaz-Balart Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Representative Mario Diaz-Balart has become the first member of Congress to be diagnosed with coronavirus.

The Florida congressmen shared in an official statement that he is feeling much better after choosing to self quarantine last week.

“I want everyone to know that I am feeling much better,” he shared (via Deadline). “However, it is important that everyone take this extremely seriously and follow CDC guidelines in order to avoid getting sick and mitigate the spread of this virus.”

He continued, “We must continue to work together to emerge stronger as a country during these trying times.”

Representative Diaz-Balart joins these other notables and celebrities who have been diagnosed with the virus.
