Elijah Wood Dropped By a Fan's 'Animal Crossing' Island to Sell Turnips & Talk 'Star Wars' - See His Adorable Interactions!

Elijah Wood thoroughly made one fan’s day.

The 39-year-old Lord of the Rings star paid a visit to a fan’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons island in order to sell turnips.

In the game, the best way to make money is to sell turnips, and the idea is to buy as many as possible and resell them for more money. When one fan tweeted that she was buying turnips, she received a DM for none other than Elijah.

“I freaked out! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought it was such a random, sincere gesture. I couldn’t believe it until he was really on my island and still responding to me,” player Jessica told Buzzfeed, adding that as a fan “it made the surprise even better.”

He stayed around and spoke to Jessica and her friends

“I thanked him again for visiting, and he was equally thankful that i let him sell his turnips!,” she said.

Amusingly, they also spoke about Star Wars in the game.

“We were saying things like ‘The Last Jedi outsold’ because we know Elijah is also a big fan of Episode VIII and it was a happy coincidence with my username. He said ‘long live Rian Johnson‘ and then left!”
