The duo were joined at the event by Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka and The Hunger Games‘ Amandla Stenberg.

Tyler Posey and Jake T. Austin walk the green carpet at Variety’s 2013 Power of Youth held at Universal Studios on Saturday afternoon (July 27) in Universal City, Calif.

The guys were both honored at the annual block party event for their charity work – Tyler for his work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Jake for his charitable work with Ronald McDonald House.

“Not only do they deal with blood cancers, but their research has developed into treating other cancers. They’ve raised millions of dollars and invested hundreds of millions into their research, and I feel it’s time they were better known. Whatever I can do to help by being in the spotlight is great,” Tyler said of his spotlight charity.

Abigail Breslin and Quvenzhane Wallis hit the green carpet at Variety’s 2013 Power of Youth held at Universal Studios on Saturday afternoon (July 27) in Universal City, Calif.

The ladies are both being honored for their charity work at the event – Abigail for her volunteer work with Project Sunshine and Quvenzhane for promoting Teaching Gardens.

Here’s a fun fact about the young ladies – they both received Academy Award nominations at a very young age!

Nina Dobrev hits the green carpet while attending Variety’s 2013 Power of Youth held at Universal Studios on Saturday afternoon (July 27) in Universal City, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress is being honored at the event for her ongoing work with Free The Children.

“A lot to look forward to when I land in LA – @Variety Power Of Youth today ! @freethechildren @craigkielburger :)” Nina tweeted ahead of the event.

Other honorees at this year’s event are Tyler Posey, Quvenzhane Wallis, Abigail Breslin, and Jake T. Austin.
