Tennis star Andy Murray and his wife Kim Sears have reportedly welcomed their first child together: a baby girl!

The news was confirmed by the 28-year-old tennis pro’s grandmother Shirley Erskine, via the BBC.

“I am absolutely delighted, as you can imagine. It seems a long time that we’ve been waiting for this but all’s well now as far as I know,” Shirley said. “I don’t have any details I just know that I’ve got a great granddaugher so that is just lovely.”

“We didn’t know what the baby’s sex was going to be. Andy and Kim said from the outset that they didn’t want to know,” Shirley added.

Andy Murray is all smiles while posing for photos and representing Great Britain at the 2016 Hopman Cup Player Party held at Perth Crown on Saturday (January 2) in Perth, Australia.

The 28-year-old Scottish pro tennis player was joined by British player Heather Watson, who happens to be training with his mom Judy.

A couple days earlier, on New Year’s Eve, Andy held an adorable Koala named Sunshine from Caversham Wildlife Park at Kings Park.

Andy Murray and his wife Kim Sears are expecting their first child together!

The 28-year-old tennis player has been with Kim, 27, for nearly 10 years now and they got married back in April. Kim is due in February and reportedly had her 12-week scan recently.

Andy opened up earlier this year about possibly having kids down the road.

“We’ve been together like nine-and-a-half years and we’ve lived together for six or seven years as well, so I don’t think a whole lot’s going to change,” Andy told BBC Sport in March. “I kind of feel like we have been married already in terms of the way we spend our lives together and live together. I think I will be more nervous about starting a family because that would be more life-changing, in a good way.”

Andy Murray holds up his trophy after becoming a four-time Queen’s Club champion on Sunday (June 21) in London, England.

The 28-year-old Scottish tennis pro beat out both Viktor Troicki and Kevin Anderson that day.

“I played better as the week went on and hopefully I can continue that into Wimbledon,” Andy told BBC. “I tried to play each point and come up with some great shots. I had to play that way if I wanted to win today.”

Andy also won the tournament back in 2009, 2011, and 2013.

Andy Murray and Kim Sears have tied the knot!

The 27-year-old Scottish tennis star and his longtime love exchanged wedding nuptials in front of their close friends and family at Dunblane Cathedral on Saturday (April 11) in Scotland.

During the wedding, Andy donned a kilt while Kim wore a stunning white gown.

Andy and Kim decided to walk down the aisle after announcing their engagement in November last year.

Andy Murray prepares to take a bite out of his cake while celebrating 500 ATP Tour career wins during the fourth round of the Miami Open on Tuesday (March 31) in Key Biscayne, Fla.

The 27-year-old tennis player told BBC Sport that it was fitting to reach the milestone while in Miami as he does most of his training there.

“I’ve been through quite a lot of pain on that court in the last few years,” he said. “I hope I can use this as motivation to win some more and I hope today’s match wasn’t the last one. There’s different ways of judging the success of someone’s career, but winning 800-900 matches is something that’s happened very rarely and a difficult thing to do – so it gives you something to aim at.”
