Brooklyn Decker glams it up for a feature in Vanity Fair‘s June 2012 issue.

Here is what the 25-year-old What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Battleship actress had to share with the mag:

On her name: “I’m named after a horse. My mom’s best friend had a horse named Brooke, so my dad suggested ‘Brooklyn’ as a more formal version, and it just stuck — and now I live in Brooklyn part-time, so go figure.”

On her figure: “There were countless jobs I didn’t get because of my figure. I wasn’t that successful as a model, ever. I just had a few clients that really embraced my curves.”

On leaving modeling and starting film: “The Sports Illustrated cover was the last thing I shot. That week, I told my agent, ‘You know what, I really… I don’t want to be a model anymore. I really want to do movies.’ And I think he wanted to wring my neck at the moment.”

Brooklyn Decker and Elizabeth Banks arrive in style at the premiere of their film What To Expect When You’re Expecting held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Monday (May 14) in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old actress, in a Giambatista Valli dress and Blue Nile jewels, and Elizabeth, 38, were joined on the carpet by Anna Kendrick, who rocked Elie Saab.

Brooklyn Decker and Taylor Kitsch hit the red carpet at the premiere of their film Battleship held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday (May 10) in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old model and actress wore a Dior dress, Pomellato jewelry, and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

Brooklyn Decker and Minka Kelly attend the Got Your Six campaign launch on Thursday (May 10) at SAG-AFTRA’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

The initiative, led by the entertainment industry, aims to create “a wide array of opportunities for veterans to successfully convert their leadership and operational training into positive civilian roles in communities nationwide.”

The night before, Brooklyn was in NYC where she taped an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote Battleship and What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Check out her interview below!

Brooklyn Decker rocks a Maje skirt and top while leaving the Today show studio on Wednesday (May 9) in NYC.

“En route to the @TodayShow this morning (after oversleeping by an hour, naturally) and still on time! Woop woop! Tune in!” 25-year-old model and actress tweeted.

Brooklyn, who attended the What to Expect When You’re Expecting screening the night before, chatted about her other movie, Battleship, and how she was eventually cast in the action flick.

“They kept bringing me in [for auditions] and telling me I wasn’t tough enough. And I’m thinking, this is torture,” she shared.

“My director said, ‘You have to make snot bubbles if you want this part,” Brooklyn recalled. “And so I went to the bathroom, blew my nose, and somehow made snot bubbles.”

Brooklyn Decker rocks a slit in her dress at the 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

The 25-year-old actress and model looked gorgeous in a Tory Burch knife-pleated slate blue silk tulle and crepe gown with hand-embroidered floral appliqués and House of Lavande jewels.

Brooklyn was joined on the red carpet by designer Tory Burch herself, as well as Rashida Jones!

“Very excited for the #MetBall this evening! @Toryburch created my gown!” she tweeted earlier in the day.
