Oprah Winfrey meets up with her pal, director Ava DuVernay, at the premiere of Netflix’s documentary 13th during the opening night of the 2016 New York Film Festival on Friday night (September 30) in New York City.
Ava directed the film, which explores the racial inequality in the justice system. It is the first non-fiction film to ever open the festival!
