Katharine McPhee holds two cute little dogs while filming new scenes for her hit show Smash on Wednesday (October 10) in New York City.

The 28-year-old actress was also joined by her co-star Jack Davenport.

The day before, Katharine was spotted wearing the same outfit while filming scenes with Krysta Rodriguez in downtown Manhattan.

Katharine recently shared her thoughts with Paper magazine on American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

“I barely heard about it today and I don’t know the details. All I know is there was some yelling that was caught on tape and Nicki went off. It sounds like it could be not a good thing, but their altercation will be great press, for sure. Listen, it’s gonna make great TV. If people know that now and it’s just getting started, it’s gonna be exciting,” Katharine said.

Katharine McPhee looks positively Smashing as she gets ready to film a scene with co-star Jack Davenport on Tuesday (July 24) in New York City.

The 28-year-old Smash star was also spotted working on a scene with co-star Megan Hilty.

NBC’s musical show is in for a number of changes in its second season, including the addition of writer Josh Safran, who worked on Gossip Girl. “[Josh's] vision for the season… was so specific, you were on the edge of your seat. It just felt like there’s a real plan in place and things are coming together in a way that feels more consistent,” president of entertainment Jennifer Salke said. We can’t wait to see it!
