Diane Lane is gorgeous as she strikes a pose on the red carpet while attending the Broadway opening night performance and press reception for The Cherry Orchard held at the American Airlines Theatre on Sunday (October 16) in New York City.

The 51-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Tavi Gevinson, Harold Perrineau, Joel Grey, John Glover, and director Simon Godwin.

Celebs are upset with Wells Fargo after the bank released an ad that seemingly discouraged teenagers from pursuing the arts as careers.

The advertisement for a Teen Day later this month shows two kids in a classroom. The caption for the girl reads, “A ballerina yesterday. An engineer today. Let’s get them ready for tomorrow.”

The caption for the boy reads, “An actor yesterday. A botanist today. Let’s get them ready for tomorrow.”

Lots of celebs, including many in the Broadway community, immediately took to Twitter to shoot down the idea that one cannot pursue the arts. There were also many jokes made about how Wells Fargo is featured in the musical The Music Man!

The company eventually released this apology statement: “Wells Fargo is deeply committed to the arts, and we offer our sincere apology for the initial ads promoting our Sept. 17 Teen Financial Education Day. They were intended to celebrate all the aspirations of young people and fell short of that goal. We are making changes to the campaign’s creative that better reflect our company’s core value of embracing diversity and inclusion, and our support of the arts. Last year, Wells Fargo’s support of the arts, culture and education totaled $93 million.”

Broadway star and Nashville actress Laura Benanti is pregnant!

The 37-year-old actress and her husband Patrick Brown announced the news on Instagram.

“Patrick and I doing some light summer reading. Coming this winter…#BabyGirlBrown!!!” Laura captioned the photo. See it below!

Laura and Patrick were married back in November.

This is the first child for the couple! Laura opened up in a Huffington Post editorial about a miscarriage she and Patrick tragically experienced last year.

Congratulations to the happy couple on the wonderful news!

Laura Benanti does a hilarious impression of Melania Trump in a spoof on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The Tony Award-winning actress has previously appeared on the program and talked about how people compare her looks to Melania‘s, so it’s fitting that she is doing this spoof!

In the appearance, Laura played Melania as she tried to explain how she didn’t plagiarize her speech at the Republican National Convention, yet she uses famous lines throughout the whole thing.
