Celebs React to Lee Thompson Young's Death at 29

Lee Thompson Young‘s surprising death has shocked the whole entertainment community and has lead many celebs to send their condolences.

The Famous Jett Jackson actor was found dead from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Monday (August 19).

Lee‘s current show Rizzoli & Isles tweeted, “We’re devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him.”

“My deepest thoughts and love to the friends and family who knew Lee Thompson Young,” Glee‘s Jenna Ushkowitz shared on Twitter.

Lee Thompson Young Suicide Confirmed By Publicist

Rizzoli and Isles actor Lee Thompson Young‘s death has been confirmed to be a suicide by his publicist, who revealed the news in a statement released to TMZ.

“It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning,” the statement read. “Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.”

Earlier today it was reported that Lee had not shown up for work on his hit TNT show, which led staffers to call his landlord, who then found his body in his home.

Rizzoli & Isles' Lee Thompson Young Dead at 29

Lee Thompson Young, who is best known for his work on Rizzoli & Isles and on the Disney Channel, has been found dead at age 29, sources confirm to JustJared.com.

The cause of death is currently unclear and his body was discovered at his home after he didn’t show up at work this morning and staffers on Rizzoli & Isles called his landlord to check up on him. He was reportedly discovered with a gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted, pointing to a possible suicide, TMZ.

Lee made it big as the title character on the Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson and then played Chris Corner in the 2004 movie Friday Night Lights. He was a lead role on TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles for the past three seasons as Detective Barry Frost.
