Modern Family will be signing off the air in two weeks time.

But before it does, ABC is set to air a documentary about the long-running series.

Titled A Modern Farewell, the one-hour documentary will look back on the show’s 11-season run with interviews with cast and crew.

Viewers will also get a behind the scenes look at the writing and casting of the pilot and into the table read of the final script.

Modern Family stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Jeremy Maguire, and Beatrice.

The series will get a big farewell, starting at 8/7c on Wednesday, April 8 on ABC.

Beatrice, who famously played Stella on Modern Family, has sadly died.

The french bulldog, who starred on the series for several seasons as Jay’s beloved pooch, passed away just days after the series wrapped, The Blast reports.

It’s currently unclear what led to Beatrice’s sudden death.

Stella was introduced in season two, who was acquired by the Pritchett-Delgado family when her previously owner decided to go back to school.

Beatrice was actually the second dog to play Stella, after taking over the role in season four.

Ty Burrell is opening up about the end of Modern Family.

The actor made an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday (March 4).

“The last scene we filmed of the entire series, normally I find it pretty challenging to get to a place where I’m sort of sobbing on camera,”

“This is the first time I’ve ever seen this – after a couple of takes, the director and the showrunner came out, and they were like ‘Um, could you guys cry…less?’”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet are filming their last scene ever for Modern Family!

The on-screen married couple were seen filming with on-screen daughter Aubrey Anderson-Emmons (Lily) outside of the Dunphy house on Friday (February 21) in Los Angeles.

The new set photos also revealed a HUGE spoiler – it looks like Mitch and Cam have adopted another baby!

Jesse was seen carrying a car seat with an Asian baby wrapped in a blue blanket.

If you caught the most recent episode, Cam got a call that his and Mitch’s form had been picked been an adoption agency – and they were debating the idea of adopting another baby.

Later that day, the Modern Family cast shared tear-jerking posts marking the final day of production.

Modern Family has officially wrapped production!

The full cast and crew bid goodbye to the series in an emotional video shared by Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s husband, Justin Mikita.

In the video, Jesse, Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Reid Ewing and Jeremy Maguire, sing Green Day‘s “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)”.

Ariel Winter also shared one last photo from the set.

“In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam, and along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade. Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque! 😢” she wrote.

The cast of Modern Family is currently filming the series finale and we have photos from the final location shoot ever!

Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill and their on-screen son Jeremy Maguire filmed a soccer game scene on Thursday morning (February 20) in Los Angeles.

“Filming in our last location ever!!!😖😖😖😖🎬🎬 #modernfamily❤️❤️,” Sofia wrote on Instagram along with a photo from the soccer field.

The series finale of Modern Family will air on ABC on April 8. The show has been on the air since 2009 and it has won 22 Emmy Awards, including five consecutive awards for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Modern Family is coming to an end, and the pictures from their final table read are already bringing on the emotions.
