Zoe Saldana is all smiles while stepping out for a red carpet and fan screening for her film Star Trek Beyond on Saturday (August 20) held at Jinyi Cinemas Fuli Haizhu Shopping Mall in Guangzhou, China.

The 38-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg, who have been on a major promotional tour lately.

That same day, Zoe, Zachary, and Simon made a surprise appearance at Jason Zhang‘s sold-out concert at the Guangzhou International Sports Arena.

In case you didn’t know, Jason lent his voice for the Chinese theme song for Star Trek Beyond.

The 38-year-old actress was joined on the carpet by her co-stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg, with director Justin Lin.

Star Trek Beyond is now in theaters.

Zoe Saldana heads to her car after her interview on Good Morning America on Monday (July 18) in Times Square, New York City.

During the interview, a young Star Trek fan asked the 38-year-old actress when she would be captain of the Starship Enterprise.

“That’s a fantastic question,” Zoe responded with a smile and high-five. “I would love to be captain. I feel like in this movie, because we’re all split, the crew is split, based on the catastrophes that the Enterprise may have to endure, that we all play captain in our own right trying to get ourselves back together and save as many lives as we can. So, I think I did get a little glimpse of playing captain in this movie.”

Zoe went on to describe her deep love for all things science fiction.

“My sisters and I were definitely not the conventional little girls,” she continued. “We were always into, like, the infinite possibilities of the universe may offer and that kept me always so curious about space.”

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana step out for dinner at Madeo restaurant on Friday night (July 15) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The cast of Star Trek Beyond – including John Cho, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban, as well as producer JJ Abrams and Zoe‘s husband Marco Perego – went out for a dinner following their press junket.

Chris recently revealed that he gathered the cast at his home to mourn the death of their co-star Anton Yelchin.

“It’s been a very difficult few weeks,” Chris told TV Week. “It’s hard to talk about; hard to encapsulate someone’s life in some sort of sound bite or tidbit. We hung out at my house and it was just nice to have the family around to help deal with a loss like this and experience mourning at such an intense level.”

George Takei has taken to his Facebook account to release a lengthy statement clarifying his previous comments about “gay Sulu” in Star Trek Beyond.

The 79-year-old actor previously said that it was “unfortunate” that his classic character is gay in the new film franchise, despite himself being openly gay and a supporter of the LGBT community.

“I gave a lengthy telephone interview, but the headlines have been misleading. Apparently, controversy makes for better sales! Let me be clear: I am not disappointed that there is a gay character in Star Trek,” George said in his new statement. “On the contrary, as I made clear, I am delighted that the Star Trek franchise has addressed this issue, which is truly one of diversity. It is thrilling to know that future generations will not see LGBTs go wholly unrepresented in the Trek universe.”
