'Tootsie' Actress Teri Garr Hospitalized, Rep Provides Update

Teri Garr was hospitalized on Monday (December 30) after suffering a medical emergency at her home in California’s San Fernando Valley.

TMZ reports that the Tootsie and Close Encounters of the Third Kind actress was transported to a local hospital via ambulance at around 10:30am that morning.

Teri, 75, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999 and she also suffered a brain aneurysm in December 2006. Thankfully, her rep says she is doing well right now.

Teri is fine. She had some confusion which it turns out was caused by dehydration,” her rep told ET Canada. “To be cautious they are keeping her overnight and she’ll be home tomorrow. I spoke to her and she sounds good.”

We’re wishing Teri a speedy recovery!
