Jennifer Garner opened up about her children and if they watch her when she’s on the big screen.
The 50-year-old The Last Thing He Told Me star shares Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13 and Samuel, 11, with Ben Affleck.
In a recent interview, she explained that their kids were more content watching their dad act over her.

Jennifer Garner is making a very rare appearance with her daughter Violet, who also happens to be the birthday girl!
The 50-year-old Alias actress was joined by Violet while attending a State Dinner at the White House on Thursday (December 1) in Washington, D.C.
Violet, whose dad is Ben Affleck, celebrated her 17th birthday while attending the event and she looks so grown up!
The dinner was held to honor French President Emmanuel Macron and other celebrity attendees included John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, and director Baz Luhrmann.
The last time Jennifer made an official appearance with her kids was over four years ago when she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
FYI: Jennifer is wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Jennifer Garner is speaking out on how the paparazzi have impacted her life and the lives of her three children: Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8.
“For 10 years, there were at the very least six cars and often 20 outside of our house, and outside of school, and at the pediatrician’s,” she said on PBS’ Tell Me More With Kelly Corrigan. “And you’re begging them, ‘Please step aside from the pediatrician’s door. I have a sick kid. Please.’”
“It’s a cost of doing business but it just got to be ridiculous,” Jennifer added, saying they were “causing car accidents all the time.”
“I’d go through a yellow light and there would be 15 cars that would go through the red light without compunction,” Jennifer said. “Anywhere that we went it was a total circus. My one daughter tried to play soccer and it was such a zoo for the families that they just said, ‘Can you please not.’”
“I just loathe them so much and what they do, but there are a couple of them that have been with me for so long,” Jennifer said. “They’ve been assigned to me for 15 years. One of them said to me one day, ‘You don’t know how much we love watching you with your children. You don’t know how much we respect you.’”
“They do know me better than anyone knows me,” Jennifer concluded. “They go everywhere where I go. They’ve seen me strap kids into cars, they’ve seen me pregnant, they’ve seen me at the store.”

Ben Affleck has been speaking Spanish for a long time and his 14-year-old daughter Violet is currently taking Spanish classes in school… and he says she’s at the point where she speaks the language better than him!
The 47-year-old actor opened up during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week.
“She’s always been a very good student, and she’s been interested in Spanish, and so I would often help her,” Ben said. “Now, all of a sudden, she’s gotten into the grade where she’s, like, in the harder Spanish classes and she’s getting better.”
“She’s right at the point where I think she might be passing me,” he added.
Ben says that Violet is now correcting him when he speaks the language!
“I was like, ‘Nope. This is not happening,’” he said. “I don’t mind that I can’t do your math homework when you’re 14 years old, but you are not going to be better at Spanish than me. So I’ve decided now I gotta take classes; I gotta do something to keep up.”
Ben was on the talk show alongside his co-stars from the movie The Way Back, which is now in theaters.

The 47-year-old actress, who worked with Halle Berry years ago to make the world safer for the children of celebrities, chatted with InStyle for the mag’s 25th anniversary issue.
“It’s so gnarly to be a kid now. I guard my kids’ privacy as much as I possibly can, and I’ve never posted pictures of them on Instagram. I used to refuse to say their names during interviews — but everyone knows their names!” Jen said in the interview. “I would just say ‘my eldest,’ which I still do out of habit a lot. I’m sure there are times my kids would really love to see themselves reflected on my social media in a fun way and to have the attention they would get from that. But I’ve fought too hard against it. It would feel hypocritical.”
“There’s no implied judgment of people who do put their kids up there; I just don’t think most kids have been hounded in the way that mine were when they were little. We were completely hounded 24/7 for 10 solid years, and it changes you. You no longer take things like being able to go to your mailbox for granted. I even stopped going to the farmers market because I was being photographed there constantly,” she added. “I realized, ‘I’m ruining the farmers market for everyone; this is selfish.’ [laughs]”
Jen and ex-husband Ben Affleck are the parents of three kids – Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7. These photos were taken during one of the kids’ only public appearances, which was at Jennifer‘s Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling ceremony last year.
Jennifer Garner is all smiles in a gray sweater and jean as she runs a few errands around town on Tuesday afternoon (March 26) in Brentwood, Calif.
The following day, the 46-year-old actress sported an all-black tracksuit as she stopped by the gym for her daily workout.

During a recent interview with People, Jen talked about how she feels about her 13-year-old daughter Violet growing up and wearing makeup.
“She’s really smart about, ‘OK, now I’m leaving the house. Now I need to check with my mom because chances are she’s gonna make me take this lip off,’ ” Jen shared. “So that’s kind of where we are with it. It’s a process. Growing up is a process.”
