Whitney Cummings Reacts to Allegations Against Chris D'Elia, Her 'Whitney' Co-Star

Whitney Cummings is speaking out in response to the allegations made against her former Whitney co-star Chris D’Elia.

The two stars played a happily unmarried couple close to relationship boredom.

Just a few days ago, Chris faced accusations of sexual harassment and grooming. Many of the women who came forward with stories said they were underage when Chris was speaking to them.

Whitney released a statement on her Twitter account on Saturday afternoon (June 20).

“It’s taken me a couple days to process the information I have learned about Chris. I’m devastated and enraged by what I’ve read and learned,” Whitney said. “This is a pattern of predatory behavior. This abuse of power is enabled by silence. Now that I’m aware, I won’t be silent.”

Whitney concluded, “Girls should be able to be a fan of a comedian they admire without becoming a sexual target. It’s the adult’s responsibility to be an adult.”

“I am not wearing an engagement ring. I am no longer engaged. Nothing nasty, no drama. It just wasn’t — I feel like nobody will believe me — I truly just was not ready to plan a wedding, the whole thing really overwhelmed me,” she explained, going on to say that her mother suffered a stroke.

“My mom is in bad shape health wise…the idea of planning was just really overwhelming and kind of sad to me. I feel like planning a wedding should be fun and not a complete bummer.”

Whitney Cummings Claims She Was Reported to HR for Saying 'Merry Christmas' to Intern

Whitney Cummings is opening up about an ordeal she faced last holiday season.

During a recent episode of Conan, the 37-year-old comedian revealed she was reported to a TV show’s human resources department after wishing the staff a “Merry Christmas.”

“Last year, I was working on a TV show [and I] got in trouble with human resources for saying ‘Merry Christmas’ to an intern,” Whitney claimed.

“I was leaving, like on the 18th … and I was like, ‘Bye, guys. Merry Christmas.’ Like just a formality, what you would say,” Whitney continued. “I come back, like, June 6. HR calls me and they’re like, ‘Hey, we need to talk to you. One of the interns is pissed off that you said Merry Christmas.’”

Whitney continued: “By the way, I was like, ‘I don’t even care how your Christmas was’…It was just a formality. Like, that’s what you say when you leave.”

Conan then chimed in, saying, “In these times we’re in, that could trigger someone or offend them if it’s not their holiday.”

“That’s what I said, I was like, ‘Well, what should I have said? Do they celebrate something else?’” Whitney replied. “And they were like, ‘Well, no, they’re agnostic.’ And I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no. You do not get to do that.’”

Whitney
then argued that in order for her to know someone’s religious beliefs, they would have to be in an “intimate” relationship.

“Had I known that this person was agnostic, that would mean we were in a relationship, like, that would mean we were intimately connected,” Whitney said. “I should not know who believes in God and who doesn’t. I also can’t guess either, you know? I can’t, like, guess your holiday based on what you look like. That’s offensive ― that’s very offensive.”

Whitney Cummings Reveals She Was High When She Accidentally Posted That Exposing Video

Whitney Cummings is opening up about that exposing video she accidentally posted

The 37-year-old comedian recently stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to explain what happened.

“It wasn’t that bad,” Whitney told host Kelly Clarkson. “It was actually my own fault. I was doing Instagram Stories one night and weed is now legal in California, which is not a good mix. I had done [a Story] and it kind of slipped a little bit.”

Whitney quickly deleted the video, but she was then blackmailed over a screenshot from the clip.

“I was like, I’m not giving you my money, I’ve worked too hard,” Whitney continued. “I paid good money [for my boobs]! I’m proud of them.”

“I was annoyed!” she added. “There are better nude photos of me. I’m in the bathtub. I look like I’m having a home birth.”

Whitney Cummings then posted the photo herself to put an end to the blackmailing: “I just took the bargaining chip off the table. It was the only thing I knew how to do. It’s a boob!”
