Natalie Portman @ TRL
Natalie Portman (in 3.1 Phillip Lim) plays it cute on TRL at NYC’s MTV Times Square Studios on Monday (aired Wednesday). If you missed it, be sure to check out the video of Natalie Portman learning the Soulja Boy dance!
Later this morning, Nat will be on The Today Show and Live with Regis and Kelly. Set your TiVos now if you’ve forgotten to!
Her latest film, Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, costars Dustin Hoffman & Jason Bateman and opens in theaters nationwide tomorrow, Nov. 16.
And here is a recent interview with MTV of Ms. Portman expressing her dissatisfaction over her nude scenes in movies:
So to clarify, you regretted the nudity in Goya’s Ghosts? I don’t really have regrets. It’s more that I don’t like misappropriation of stuff, like when you create something as part of a story and then a piece of it ends up on a porn site. It’s meant to be a dramatic scene and part of a story. That really makes me angry. It’s inevitable and I should know what happens but …
Does what you’re talking about justify the trepidation you’ve had for nudity over the years? Yes. It does. Because I really don’t have an issue with it artistically. I just don’t like when people take it out of a story. It’s meant to tell you something about a character and then to put a scene elsewhere is … but it’s inevitable now, so it’s like I should know better. [laughs]
