Tyrese Gibson Really Wants to Play the Green Lantern in DC's Film

Tyrese Gibson, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious and Transformers franchises, really wants to land the role of the Green Lantern in the upcoming DC movies – so much so that he’s dedicated his social media to his campaign.

The 36-year-old actor has been posting photos to his Instagram account over the past four days depicting pics of him in costume for the Green Lantern.

“Rumor has it that,” one photo is captioned, while another reads, “I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure.”

There has been no casting announced for the Green Lantern film, which is set to be released by Warner Bros. in 2020.

Ryan Reynolds previously played the role in the 2011 film, which was widely panned.
