Shia LaBeouf Steps Out Amid Family Legal Drama

Shia LaBeouf makes a quick stop by Samy’s Cameras on Monday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actor is reportedly in a legal battle with his uncle after he loaned him $1 million to help his failing business. Shia sued his uncle Barry Saide back in 2014 and won.

“Prior to Shia’s ascendancy to film stardom…I loaned [Shia's mom] Shayna hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist in the support of Shayna and Shia,” the lawsuit read. “I never sought repayment of this money; Shayna, Shia and I are family.” But Shia reportedly wants his money back, or for his uncle to give up the $2.5 million New York City apartment he resides in with his wife.
