J.K. Simmons to Play Commissioner Gordon in 'Justice League'

J.K. Simmons has landed the role of Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming superhero mega-movie Justice League, according to THR.

The character is featured in the Batman movies and was most recently played by Gary Oldman in The Dark Knight franchise while Ben McKenzie is currently playing a younger version of the police commissioner on Fox’s Gotham.

Justice League: Part One is set to begin shooting in mid-April for a planned release date of November 17, 2017 while the second part will hit theaters on June 14, 2019.

The movie will also star Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Gyborg.
