Bryce Dallas Howard Said She Earned Major Cool Points with Her Kids for 'Pete's Dragon'

Bryce Dallas Howard exits the BBC Studios after doing some promo work for Pete’s Dragon on Monday (August 1) in London, England.

The 35-year-old star opened up about working with the CGI dragon (named Elliot in the film).

“When I got to ride on the back of Elliott, I was screaming, ‘I’m in my mid-30s and I’m riding on the back of a dragon!’ It was very exciting for me. I’ve got kids and their first thought when they first saw it was not, ‘Oh Eliot is a CGI character.’ They were like, ‘Oh my gosh, you worked with a dragon!’ And that’s the best feeling. It made me cooler than I usually am to the kids,” Bryce said.

Bryce and her husband Seth Gabel have two kids: Theodore, 9 and Beatrice, 4.
