Tori Kelly Was Super Shy Growing Up Like Her 'Sing' Character!

It wasn’t always easy for Tori Kelly to take center stage!

The 24-year-old entertainer opened up about how she relates to her Sing character Meena, who has stage fright.

“I grew up being really, really shy. I always knew that I loved to sing like Meena and I would get up on stage and just be like really stiff and not know what to do,” she explained while on the Today show.

Tori added, “So it took time for me to really grow out of that and realize that this is what I love to do.”

Later, Tori took to the stage to perform “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” and that evening performed “Hallelujah” on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
