Mark Salling's Child Pornography Case Dismissed
Mark Salling‘s child pornography case has been dismissed.
The United States Attorney requested the dismissal earlier this week, which was then was granted by United States District Judge Otis D. Wright, The Blast reports.
“For good cause shown, it is hereby ordered that: The government’s motion to dismiss the indictment pursuant to Rule 48 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure is granted. The indictment in the above referenced case is dismissed without prejudice,” the legal papers read.
Since the case was dismissed “without prejudice,” it can be re-filed if prosecutors choose.
Salling was supposed to be sentenced in March after pleading guilty last year. He committed suicide last month at the age of 35.
