Oprah Winfrey Signs Multi-Year Original Programming Deal With Apple

Oprah Winfrey is headed to Apple’s streaming service!

The longtime television personality just announced her partnership with the company to bring original programming for years to come.

“Together, Winfrey and Apple will create original programs that embrace her incomparable ability to connect with audiences around the world. Winfrey’s projects will be released as part of a lineup of original content from Apple,” the company said in a statement.

While not much is known about the original programming, Oprah can be expected to host and interview guests.

The deal will not interfere with her television network OWN.

Apple recently made similar deals with other major celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Steven Spielberg, Octavia Spencer and Kevin Durant.
