Kim Kardashian Apologizes for Using 'R' Word on Instagram

Kim Kardashian was embroiled in controversy after using the “r” word in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Halloween.

If you don’t know, the 38-year-old reality star was at her sister Kendall Jenner‘s Halloween party when the video in question was uploaded. Kim was apparently frustrated that many guests could not guess who she was dressed as that evening, and used the word while describing her frustration.

Kim and her friend Jonathan Cheban went as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee from the 1999 VMAs.

“I want to apologize for what I said in a recent video post that is inappropriate and insensitive to the special needs community,” Kim told TMZ in a statement. “I try to learn from my mistakes and this is one of those times. Please know that my intention is always pure, and in this case, it was a mistake. I’m sorry.”
