In her place, a panel of “Hot Talkers” will host in her absence beginning on January 14.

“As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover. Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair,” said producers Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein.

Wendy claimed to have suffered an arm injury in December, then returned to the show and faced criticism for her seemingly odd behavior, which she later claimed was due to taking pain medication.

Wendy was originally set to return on January 7. The “Hot Talker” panelists will be revealed on Monday (January 14).
