Idris Elba In Talks to Join Cast of Supernatural Thriller 'Deeper'

Idris Elba is in talks to star in upcoming supernatural thriller Deeper.

The 46-year-old actor is in negotiations to star in the deep-sea flick, according to THR.

The MGM film, written by Max Landis, will follow a disgraced astronaut who is on a deep-sea dive exploring a newly discovered trench when he finds himself confronted by a sinister and dangerous force.

The film’s tone has reportedly been described as similar to Gravity and The Martian.

Idris, who is currently filming Cats, has yet to speak out about the role.
