Chrissy Metz Brings 'Breakthrough' To Atlanta For Special Screening!

Chrissy Metz is pretty in pink while hitting the red carpet at the special advance screening of her film Breakthrough held at the Regal Atlantic Station on Wednesday (March 13) in Atlanta, Ga.

The 38-year-old actress was joined at the event by the film’s producer DeVon Franklin as they introduced the screening and took part in a Q&A.

Breakthrough is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds. When Joyce Smith’s (Chrissy) adopted son John (Marcel Ruiz) falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her steadfast belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John’s recovery, even in the face of every case history and scientific prediction.

“It’s hard to put into words because you’ve seen this story,” Chrissy recently expressed. “I’ve read the book, but actually meeting these human beings who’ve gone though this experience, it’s like you can’t really understand it.”
