Brian Tarantina Dead - 'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Actor Dies from Apparent Drug Overdose

Veteran character actor Brian Tarantina has passed away at the age of 60.

TMZ reports that the actor was found dead on early Saturday morning (November 2) at his New York City apartment from an apparent drug overdose.

Brian‘s niece went to check on him at around 12:30am and found him unresponsive on the couch. She told cops that the last time she spoke with him was late Tuesday night.

The first responders “found a white powdery substance near his body,” but it’s unclear what the substance might have been. An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death.

Brian most recently played the role of Jackie on the hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and he won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series alongside the rest of the cast earlier this year. You might also recognize him from roles in Donnie Brasco, Jacob’s Ladder, Summer of Sam, and more.
