Hilary Duff Reveals She Had 'Mom Guilt' About Having a Second Child

Hilary Duff steps out to run a few errands around town in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (January 29).

The 32-year-old actress kept it comfy and cute in a black tank and pants while running around town that afternoon. The day before, Hilary was spotted in some bold red pants for a workout.

Speaking to PureWow recently, Hilary got candid about the guilt that followed her after giving birth to daughter, Banks Violet.

“The guilt that I felt for bringing her into the world was so big,” she shared. “It was just he [son Luca] and I for so long that he was like, ‘Why? Why, Mom? Why would you do this? I really just love the way it is.’ And it wasn’t bratty, it was just so sad.”

She continues, “I was like, ‘How do I reverse this?! It’s too late now.’ It’s such big feelings. When you’re pregnant, everything just feels more magnified.”

However, once Banks was born, big brother Luca turned into the perfect big brother.

“He came in after I had her. I was just holding her, and the look on his face was an absolute shock. He just said, ‘That’s my sister!’…”

Hilary added that it’s “the best” seeing them together. “It’s a chemical reaction between siblings sometimes where he knows he has to protect her.”
