Arnold Schwarzenegger Sets Up New Fund For First Responders; Donates $1 Million To It
Arnold Schwarzenegger is still giving back amid the coronavirus pandemic.
After setting up another fund where his After-School All-Stars foundation will be delivering grocery gift cards and food to people in different cities around the United States during the crisis, the 72-year-old entertainer has also set up a new fund for first responders.
Called the “Frontline Responders Fund”, it will provide medical professionals with critical supplies such as masks, gowns and gloves, and Arnold has donated $1 million to it.
“I never believed in sitting on the couch and complaining about how bad things are, I always believed we should all do our part to make things better,” Arnold wrote on his Instagram, announcing the fund.
He continued, “This is a simple way to protect our real action heroes on the frontlines in our hospitals, and I’m proud to be part of it. I donated 1 million dollars, and I hope that all of you who can will step up to support these heroes. Go to the link in my bio to help out.”
The goal for the fund is $5 million, and it has already reached over half of that goal.
If you didn’t see, Arnold has a few furry companions to get him through quarantine.
