Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Set to Produce New TV Drama 'Daughters of the Kobani'

Mother-daughter duo Hilary and Chelsea Clinton are taking on a new project!

The Hollywood Reporter announced on Monday (January 25) that the pair have acquired the TV rights to Gayle Tzemach Lemmon‘s The Daughters of Kobani: A Story of Rebellion, Courage, and Justice.

The book will be released February 16 and “is based on hundreds of hours of interviews and on-the-ground reporting about the all-female Kurdish militia who took on ISIS in Northern Syria and won”, per THR.

The former Secretary of State said in a statement, “The Daughters of Kobani is an extraordinary account of brave, defiant women fighting for justice and equality. We created HiddenLight to celebrate heroes — sung and unsung alike — whose courage is too often overlooked, and we could not be more thrilled to bring this inspiring story to viewers around the world.”

HiddenLight is Hillary and Chelsea‘s production company which was launched in December with a goal to create content that focuses on the human spirit.
