Oscars 2021 Attendees Will Not Wear Face Masks at Times - Here's Why

A new detail about the 2021 Oscars telecast was just revealed.

The April 25, 2021 awards show will be held at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, and during a call with Academy representatives, Oscar nominees, and studio and personal publicists, news about mask-wearing was confirmed.

Click inside to find out what was revealed….

According to Variety, masks are “not required for people on camera.” Why? Because the Oscars is actually being treated like a TV/film production and following those guidelines. However, when attendees are NOT on camera, they are being asked to put their masks back on. An example of when they may need to put their masks on would be during a commercial break when there’s no one on camera.

Audience members will be rotated in and out due to capacity rules, and only 170 people will be allowed in the audience.

Find out every update about this year’s Oscars, which will look a lot different from any other previous Academy Awards ceremony.
