Michael B. Jordan Reveals The Reason Why He Won't Be Naming His Future Son Michael C. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan doesn’t know exactly what he’ll be naming his future children, but he does know that it won’t follow the tradition in his family.

If you’re unaware, the 34-year-old actor’s father’s name is Michael A. Jordan, and he is Michael B. The pattern would be for him to name his own son, Michael C. Jordan, to continue the naming pattern.

Michael appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and revealed that he’s breaking up with that tradition right now.

“I am breaking that circle right there,” Michael declared. “It’s too much. The pressure I had to live up to my dad’s name and I’m not gonna put that on my kid.”

He added that his future son will have his “own identity. He’s gotta walk in his own shoes.”

Michael is also giving credit to his one-year-old nephew Lennox, who has taken the pressure off of him to produce offspring right now.

“He bought me some time,” he share of his sister’s son. “Lennox definitely gave me a break right there.”

Michael is currently dating Lori Harvey and if you didn’t see, the duo got all glammed up for a virtual premiere party for his new movie, Without Remorse.
