Mae shared a meme of her character Annie having her eyes covered by Christina‘s character Beth so she’s shielded from a headline that reads “Good Girls Canceled at NBC.”

Christina reposted her version of the meme on Instagram, writing in the caption: “Well, we gave it our all. We really did. Thank you to our amazing fans through the years for all your passion and support.”

Mae commented on the post, “Love you ladies more than anything on gods green.”

It was reported on Friday that while there had been plans to move the series over to Netflix or another streamer, those efforts had “imploded.”

Deadline also wrote that the show would “not be shopped elsewhere by studio Universal Television,” meaning that unfortunately the series is over for good.

Good Girls follows suburban moms Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta) and Annie (Mae Whitman) who, at a loss over how to solve their various crippling financial troubles, decide to rob a supermarket in a heist that attracts the attention of a local gang leader, Rio (Manny Montana).
