Tom Cruise Landed His Helicopter in a Random Family's Backyard, Then Gave Them a Special Surprise

Tom Cruise gave a big surprise to an unsuspecting family in England!

The 59-year-old actor has been in the English countryside while filming his upcoming Mission: Impossible movie and he needed to find a place to land his helicopter while en route to a meeting.

The local airport was shut down and Tom was looking for a place to land so he could make it to his meeting on time. Someone reached out to Alison Webb and asked for permission for a “VIP who was running late” to land in her field, according to the BBC.

“I thought it would be kind of cool for the kids to see the helicopter land in the garden,” she told the outlet. “He [Tom Cruise] basically arrived and got out and it was like ‘Wow’.”

Tom posed for some socially distant photos with the family and then offered them a cool surprise. While he was at his meeting, he allowed the family to go for rides in the helicopter!

“He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much. Then he said if the kids would like they could go up in the helicopter,” Alison said. “It turned out to be an incredible day. It was surreal, I still now can’t believe it happened.”
