Janet Jackson Debuts Documentary Trailer, Featuring Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott & Paula Abdul!

Janet Jackson‘s highly anticipated documentary is coming!

The 55-year-old pop icon premiered the trailer for her forthcoming Lifetime and A&E documentary, Janet, on Monday (September 6), and it features a ton of stars already.

The clip includes brief teases of contributions from stars like Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and Missy Elliott.

“This is my story, told by me, not through someone else’s eyes. This is the truth. Take it or leave it, love it or hate it: This is me,” she says.

The documentary comes at the same time as the 40th anniversary of Janet‘s debut with 1982′s self-titled album.

It will premiere across two nights in January on Lifetime and A&E, and will feature never-before-seen interviews and footage.
