Caitlyn Jenner Supports Dave Chappelle After He Made Transphobic Remarks in Netflix Special

Caitlyn Jenner is defending Dave Chappelle.

On Tuesday (October 26), the 72-year-old Olympian and former reality star took to social media to share a message of support for the 48-year-old comedian after he faced backlash for the transphobic comments he made during his new Netflix special, The Closer.

Caitlyn took to Twitter to share a video of Dave where he vowed not to be “summoned” by trans opponents to his comedy stylings, before saying he would be willing to meet with them – at a time and place of his choosing.

Along with that video, Caitlyn wrote a supportive message to Dave.

“Dave Chappelle is 100% right,” Caitlyn tweeted. “This isn’t about the LGBTQ movement. It’s about woke cancel culture run amok, trying to silence free speech. We must never yield or bow to those who wish to stop us from speaking our minds.”

Last week, hundreds of Netflix employees, organized under a group called “Team Trans,” walked out of work in protest of Dave‘s special, calling for the streamer to remove it due to transphobic jokes. Amid the news, this star mocked the “whiny” employees.
