It’s been reported that Daniel will star as Fire Lord Ozai, the ruthlessly-driven leader of the Fire Nation who he demands everyone live up to his impossible standards, especially his teenaged son, Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu).

Ozai’s drive to conquer and unite the world under firebender rule is a family burden—he believes that it’s his destiny to finish a war started by his ancestors.

Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley will also star in the series, where Albert Kim will serve as showrunner, executive producer and writer.

Michael Goi, Roseanne Liang, Jabbar Raisani and Jet Wilkinson will all be directing the series.

Previously, Daniel voiced General Fong in an 2006 episode of the Nickelodeon animated series and in the 2007 video game.
