Vanessa Bryant Ordered to Submit Four Years of Therapy Records in Leaked Kobe Bryant Crash Photos Lawsuit

A judge has ordered Vanessa Bryant to turn over her mental health records in her lawsuit against the Los Angeles County.

On Monday (November 15), a motion by the county was granted requiring Vanessa, 39, and her therapist to submit her therapy records – spanning from January 1, 2017 to the present – in the lawsuit she filed over the leaked photos of late husband Kobe Bryant‘s helicopter crash, according to People.

The motion comes after the judge previously denied the county’s request to require Vanessa to undergo psychiatric evaluation to prove she suffered emotional distress after the photos of the crash were leaked.

The January 2020 helicopter crash killed
Kobe, their 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven other people.

Vanessa filed the lawsuit after it was revealed that eight L.A. County Sheriff’s Department deputies allegedly took graphic photographs of the victims of the crash and shared them with unauthorized people.

She is seeking damages for emotional distress and mental anguish. In a recent deposition, Vanessa testified that she is “traumatized, has trouble sleeping and is depressed for ‘many’ reasons.”

Vanessa and her therapist must turn over her therapy records by November 29, while the trial is scheduled for February 22, 2022.
