First Look of Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald Revealed in 'Fantastic Beasts 3' Trailer Preview!

The full trailer for the upcoming movie Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will arrive next week, but until then, Warner Bros. has released an exciting preview!

The clip features the first look at Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald, a role he took over from Johnny Depp.

Also seen in the preview are stars Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, Jessica Williams, Callum Turner, Jude Law, and Ezra Miller.

David Yates will once again direct this film, as he has for the past two, as well as the last four Harry Potter movies. He’s also slated to direct two more Fantastic Beasts movies!

While this is just a small teaser for the upcoming movie, the full trailer will debut this upcoming Monday (December 13).

“There has to be a bridge between what Johnny did and what I’m going to do. And at the same time, I also have to make it my own,” Mads previously told EW. “But also, we have to find a few links [to the previous version of the character] and some bridges, so it doesn’t completely detach from what he’s already masterfully achieved.”

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was recently given an April 15, 2022 release date.
