Kelly Clarkson Files to Legally Change Her Name to Kelly Brianne

Kelly Clarkson is making some changes.

According to ET, the 39-year-old performer has filed the documents for a legal name change.

The outlet reports that Kelly has a “desire” to go by Kelly Brianne, which would be her first and middle names.

The docs, which were filed on Monday (February 18), state that the singer feels “my new name more fully reflects who I am.”

The change comes amid Kelly’s ongoing divorce from ex Brandon Blackstock. The pair split in June 2020 after seven years of marriage. They share 7-year-old daughter, River, and 5-year-old son, Remington.

Last summer new details about Brandon and Kelly‘s divorce were revealed, including information about spousal support payments.
