Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' Gets First Look Photo & Adds Kenneth Branagh To Cast

Universal has released the first official photo for Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming Oppenheimer movie.

The studio, via Deadline, also announced that Kenneth Branagh has also joined the star-studded cast of the flick.

Kenneth, who recently directed the Oscar nominated Belfast, will join a handful of other stars including Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Rami Malek.

Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich and Michael Angarano will also appear in the movie.

Oppenheimer is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin.

Cillian stars as the theoretical physicist, whose work on the Manhattan Project led to the invention of the atomic bomb.
