'Jack Ryan' Ending With Season Four on Prime Video, But There's A Spinoff Planned!

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series at Amazon is wrapping up with four seasons.

According to Deadline, the action show which stars John Krasinski in the title role, will end with four seasons.

However, there is some good news for avid watchers.

While the end of John‘s Jack Ryan is nearing, the outlet adds that the franchise is expanding with a spinoff planned around Michael Pena‘s character, Ding Chavez, who will be introduced in the upcoming season three.

Ding will then join the fourth season, which is in production now, as a series regular.

Domingo “Ding” Chavez is described as a “CIA agent who joined straight from the United States Army, and has gone on missions in countries like Colombia, Iran as well as the United Kingdom where he acted as the executive officer of Rainbow Six.”

The character appeared in 22 novels from author Tom Clancy‘s book series.

In the upcoming season 3, Jack Ryan is on the run and in a race against time after being wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive and prevent a massive global conflict.

Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November are also returning for the new season, which has yet to set a release date.
