'Magnum P.I.' Could Have Season 5; Might Be Rescued From Cancellation By Another Network (Report)

Fans weren’t exactly happy with CBS after the network decided to cancel Magnum P.I. just after the fourth season finale last month, where a very important moment between Magnum and Juliet happened.

However, a new report suggests that the show could be rescued from cancellation and headed to another network altogether.

The report, via Deadline, says that producer Universal TV is shopping the series, and that NBC and USA Network could be new homes for the Hawaii based drama.

The outlet says that NBC could bring new life to Magnum P.I. for a fifth season, while USA Network would run the four previous seasons.

Deadline adds that the only thing that’s still in “the way” of this being confirmed is that CBS Studios still holds rights that would need to be negotiated away.

Magnum P.I. stars Jay Hernandez in the title role with Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Amy Hill, and Tim Kang also in the cast.

This wasn’t the only show to be shockingly cancelled this season.
