Kelis Calls Out Beyoncé & The Neptunes for 'Renaissance' Sample: 'The Level of Disrespect Is Astounding'

Kelis is not happy with Beyoncé.

The 42-year-old “Milkshake” superstar learned that one of her songs is sampled on Bey‘s upcoming album Renaissance, and she’s speaking out about it on social media.

On Thursday (July 28), Kelis was made aware that the upcoming song “Energy” features a sample of her hit “Milkshake,” produced by The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo).

Using her “bountyandfull” Instagram account – her beauty brand – she called out the sample.
