Get to Know Courtney Reed from the 'Moulin Rouge' National Tour with These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)
Courtney Reed is currently playing the lead role of Satine in Moulin Rouge‘s National Tour production and we caught up with her to learn some fun facts that fans might not know.
Courtney originated the role of Princess Jasmine in the Broadway production of Aladdin and received a Grammy nomination for her work.
Now, Courtney is leading the tour of this Tony-winning musical as Satine, a role previously played by Nicole Kidman in the film and Karen Olivo in the original Broadway cast.

- My mother is Vietnamese but was born and raised in Thailand. She moved to the States when she was 18.
- My Dad speaks fluent Thai because he spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Thailand.
- I’m the only performer in my family and also the only one that can only speak one language!
- I am obsessed with organizing. I do it for fun! Marie Kondo is the queen!
- My childhood name in my family was Budgie. It still is the name my family and close friends call me!

- On a menu I will basically have any cocktail with Mezcal and any dish with Arugula. I don’t like looking at a menu for very long.
