Stockard Channing Remembers Olivia Newton-John: 'I Will Miss Her Enormously'

The Pink Ladies are paying tribute to Olivia Newton-John, following the news of her passing this week.

Stockard Channing and Dinah Manoff, who starred as Rizzo and Marti in Grease with Olivia, have released statements after they heard the news.

Olivia passed away on Monday (August 8) following a decades long battle with breast cancer.

“I don’t know if I’ve known a lovelier human being,” Stockard told People in a statement about Olivia.

She added, “Olivia was the essence of summer – her sunniness, her warmth and her grace are what always come to mind when I think of her. I will miss her enormously.”

Dinah, who played Marti in the movie, also released a statement, saying, “As many will tell you, Olivia Newton-John was one of the kindest, most generous souls ever to grace the earth, and I was one lucky Pink Lady to have spent time with her during the filming of Grease.”

She added, “She brought light and laughter wherever she went. My deepest condolences to her family and friends during their time of great loss.”

John Travolta also paid tribute to Olivia, as did many other celebrities.
