LAPD Announces End of Anne Heche Investigation - Read Statement

Anne Heche was being investigated for felony DUI after her car crash and the LAPD has announced an end to the investigation.

The news comes after the Anne‘s death at the age of 53. She was declared brain dead, but remained on life support while under evaluation for organ donation.

Anne reportedly had narcotics in her blood, according to the detectives on the case.

After Anne‘s death, the LAPD announced that the investigation would end.

“As of today, there will be no further investigative efforts made in this case,” the department told the Associated Press. “Any information or records that have been requested prior to this turn of events will still be collected as they arrive as a matter of formalities and included in the overall case. When a person suspected of a crime expires, we do not present for filing consideration.”

Anne‘s son released an emotional statement after her death.
