Jax Shares Her Inspiration For Hit Song "Victoria's Secret"

Jax is a former American Idol contestant who has gained a massive following on TikTok in recent years and made her first visit to the Billboard Hot 100 chart for her single “Victoria’s Secret.”

The 24-year-old singer shared about her inspiration for the song as well as how she’s dealing with her fame.

Jax shared that her inspiration for her hit song ‘Victoria’s Secret” was a girl she babysits. “Her name is Chelsea, and she’s always kind of like talking to me about, you know, bullying in school and what she’s insecure about. And she just turned 13. So it’s like, you know, tough years.”

Like, honestly, people forget. I forget sometimes, like how and then you think like, oh, my God, that was really hard in middle school. And, you know, she said something about like, you know, getting bullied by somebody about her body. So yesterday I picked Chelsea up from the mall because she’s going to a pool party and her and her friends went bikini shopping at Victoria’s Secret,” she told the Spout Podcast.

“Chelsea literally got in the car, hysterically crying to me because this one little rat said something that made me cringe. Anyway, I wrote a song for you. Because when I was your age, I had a lot of eating problems and I wish. Somebody would have said this to me when I needed to hear it,” Jax said.

Last month, the CEO of Victoria’s Secret issued a statement in response to Jax‘s song, “Victoria’s Secret.”
