Melissa McCarthy Reveals Hilarious Moment She Decided to Have 'The Talk' With Daughter Vivian

Melissa revealed that she had talked with both of her daughters during an appearance on the We Can Do Hard Things podcast.

“I always thought, ‘I’m gonna do it so early because we’re open about anything and they can come to me for anything,’” she explained to host Glennon Doyle. “But there is still a midwestern former Catholic person that’s like, ‘Talk about sex and a lightning bolt comes down.’”

The actress decided to have the conversation with Vivian before it happened at school, and she did so while they were cleaning up their dog’s poop in the back yard.

“Vivi just goes, ‘Oh dear God, is this happening?’ And I was like, ‘There’s different parts of bodies be it… uh,’ but at least I was just like, let me be awkward and get through it,” Melissa said.

She noted that it was “really a wonderful time” for a chat about the birds and the bees.

Earlier this year, Melissa opened up about being a fan of a world-renowned pop star and featuring their music in her show.
