Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About What Happened After Daughter Apple Went to College

Gwyneth Paltrow is opening up about parenthood.

The 50-year-old Goop founder got candid in a conversation with People during the Gwyneth Paltrow x Copper Fit Feel the Fit Press Day in Santa Monica, Calif.

During the chat, she spoke about her 18-year-old daughter Apple Blythe Martin, and sending her off to college for the first time.

“I was sick to my stomach,” Gwyneth admitted.

“It was horrible. It was truly horrifying. I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears.”

She added she is “getting more and more used to” her daughter being away at school, especially after seeing “how happy she is and settled” during a recent “parents weekend” visit.

“She came home for October break just last weekend, so that was amazing. I see her, but not as much as I’d like. I’d like to see her every day, but I’m so happy for her. She’s doing great.”
